March 19th

Well, we are down to one more class.  The presentation tonight was a great way to end since it deals with adults and how, why, and what we enjoy learning about.  I am looking forward to  web design, brings out our creative side since this past class was all about theory.

Am also looking forward to our upcoming Spring Break.  My sister and nieces will be in from California for a week and plan on enjoying time with them - have not seen them since last fall.  During break I have also signed up to do a Mud Run.  Now, this should be comical since I don't run (or jog) however, am ready for an intense obstacle course!  Hoping not to bust anything but can almost guarantee that there will be bumps and bruises.

Can't wait to see all at our end of the semester soiree at Scott's.  Remember, watch where you park!  Hope the tide is not comin' in.

March 6th

I can't believe we only have 2 more class sessions left.  Time flies!  Now that we have been exposed to most of the theories, I have a better understanding of which to include in my paper.  Will now devote time to finishing up my PLT paper.

On a side note, I cannot believe that we Spring ahead this coming weekend.  I was getting used to the sun beaming in my eyes as I pull out of the driveway in the morning but will have to wait on that after we change the clocks BUT at least we will have more daylight later.  Looking forward to spending Saturday at the St. Pat's Parade in Seaside having a few beers at Klee's - unfortunately the warm weather that will be with us for the next few days will be long gone by the time Saturday comes - only forcasting for a high in the 40's - BURRRRR!

February 27th

Am so glad our presentation went well.  I forgot during our koosh ball round table to thank both Jess and Andy.  I was not at all comfortable maneuvering around Wimba until both Andy and Jess helped me out and gave me pointers.  I now feel comfortable sharing my screen and importing ppt documents, so THANKS AGAIN!

Spent this past weekend up north celebrating with my "Summer Friends".  Cannot believe that we are so over the Winter hump and Spring is just around the corner.  Longer days, warmer weather, and only about 75 more days till Summer vacation (but who's counting)!  Don't get me wrong, I love the seasons but enjoy the smells and sounds of Spring.

February 15th

Well, just had another meeting with the Constructivism team via skype.  We are plugging away at our presentation and how to best incorporate this theory into our lesson plan.  Everything seems to be shaping up nicely.

On a side note, I can't believe this weather.  Is Winter ever going to come or will we just run right into Spring?  Spring would be fine with me.  I am also loving the fact that is staying lighter later.  Not light enough though to spend any quality time outside after work.  I can't wait to be able to come home from work and take a nice long walk on the boards or a bike ride while it is still light out.  Soon enough though!

Well, time to take some quizzes and post my results.  I am certainly going to enjoy the upcoming 3 day weekend!

February 7th

Was looking forward to the lesson on Behaviorism but will have to wait until next week.  I am glad that we all got the chance to ask much needed questions on how the lessons will be presented and ironed out a few wrinkles.  Andy and I got a chance to work on parts of our constructivism presentation and will again be talking with our partner, Jess, on Wimba tomorrow evening.

This past weekend I had a chance to go up to Camelback and hang out with folks from school.  We all work so hard during the week and never get a chance to enjoy - so our trip was well deserved!  Oh boy, in addition to snowtubing we went to the outlets, and YES there was a Coldwater Creek Outlet.  That was the icing on the cake.

January 31st

Wow, another whirlwind of a night.  Way too much time spent on Wimba - I think it was too much instruction and not enough time to practice.  I am one who learns by doing and trying to go back and forth from Wimba lesson to either Google Portfolio or Library Guide was frustrating.  I do, however, like this portfolio option better than the one on the Stockton site.  It seems easier to maneuver around in and more accessible after we leave Stockton.

I think I have completed most quizzes and worksheets for next week but not sure - I am a little rusty on trying to find where all worksheets are located (I feel like Where's Waldo) - will finish this blog and then work on finding a peer reviewed article for the education worksheet.

Back to work now - good luck to all finding, finishing, and posting all work that is due.

January 2012

I cannot believe we are starting our 2nd year in the program.  It was relaxing to have an entire month of relatively free nights and weekends.  Well, now it's back to business.  Get that brain churning, start burning the midnight oil, and enjoy the ride!  Now it's back to looking up constructivism -
